Eudora Configuration Hints

Using Eudora Light, version 1.5.4
(an example of a very popular Email client program),
select the "Options" function under the "Tools" menu.

Example of "Your" Mboxes(tm) Information

Assume you have gotten Frank.Jones for your Mboxes(tm) mailbox, so that Frank.Jones@mboxes.com is your "Lifetime Email Address(tm)". Your mailbox "account" will be Frank.Jones.MB@mail.mboxes.com (your "POP account" at Mboxes.com). Also, you have decided to use Frankie Jay as your Email "Handle" (your "Email" Name).

Example "Other Mailbox" Provider Information

Assume that your provider (somewhere.com) has an SMTP server at mail.somewhere.com that you would normally use to send mail, and a POP server at pop.somewhere.com where you generally get your Email from the frank123 mailbox there. Then, most probably, frank123@pop.somewhere.com is your POP account there, and frank123@somewhere.com is your present mailbox address ("Other Email Address") with your provider.

Case 1: You decide to have all Mboxes(tm) Email forwarded to your current (Other) mailbox.

With this very popular configuration, the world uses your Mboxes(tm) address to send mail to you, but you get your mail in the one mailbox near you, and you will not need to check two mailboxes.

1. Choose the Personal Information Icon ...

2. Choose the Checking Mail Icon ...

3. Choose the Sending Mail Icon ...

Case 2: You decide to get Email directly from your Mboxes(tm) mailbox.

This configuration is useful when there is no mailbox provided by your access provider, or if you (for some reason) choose not to use it.

1. Choose the Personal Information Icon ...

2. Choose the Checking Mail Icon ...

3. Choose the Sending Mail Icon ...

Case 3: You want to get mail from Both mailboxes.
